My big Kindergartener

All decked out for his first day of school
Getting tired of all mom's picture taking
At the bus stop, with is bus tag from his teacher.

All lined up for the bus... what good kids

On his way ( he is the little face in the 3rd window)

First off I should say that because Landon was soooo excited he honestly couldn't go to sleep last night. I heard or saw him for almost an hour after I put him to bed. Because of that fact, my boys who are always up by 6:30 actually slept until 7:15. Of course on the one day when we need to get up. We woke up to lost of rain and even a little thunder but to top it off we were with out power also. Landon was very excited to see that dad had left a special note for him on the counter before he left to work. He wanted to take the note and show his teacher but I convinced him to just leave it at home. Kyler was being a little stink and didn't want to get dressed or make his bed or put his dishes away. Once we finally got all of us dressed we were off to the bus stop. Then I sent my baby on his way with no tears from either of us, I might add.

Just Ky Time

This year while Landon is at school and Nathan is napping there is a special time for just Kyler and I. I am doing a one on one preschool for him and he loves just having mom's undivided attention.

Pineview Reservoir

Nathan and Daddy testing the water.

Nathan loved playing in the sand and really enjoyed the water also.

Landon playing on the rope swing.

Kyler wanted a turn but was a little too short to reach by himself.

Of course Jon had to take a turn.

While camping we decided to pack a picnic lunch and go have some fun at the 'beach' as the kids called it. We played in the water, got cover in sand and just had a fun day before heading back to our camp site.

Camping

Landon roasting a hot dog.

Nathan was a little hesitant about camping for the first time but got the hang of it real quick. He had a hard time walking on the uneven terrain, but made it work. He loved sitting in the boys camp chairs so we really need to invest in another child's camp chair.

The boys had fun playing on this swing thing they found. They even took turns.... some of the time.

Our trip was a blast but of course we had a couple of interesting points. Like Landon throwing up because he ate too many hot dogs to quickly. Or Kyler having a potty accident because he couldn't decide which tree to pee on. The most interesting thing that happened to us actually brought us home a night early. While we were waiting for our dinner in the dutch oven to finish Landon declares that he sees a snake. Okay anyone who knows me well know that I don't do critters of any kind especially snakes. While the kids and I stayed back Jon got a little closer to at least see what kind of snake and that's when he discovered that it was a RATTLESNAKE!!!! We thought the snake was gone and then the snake decided to come right up by our campfire. That is when the kids and I retreated to our car while Jon watched from a safe distance to ensure that he leaves. At that point we decided to eat our dinner and drop camp and head home. We were going to be coming home in the morning anyways so it wasn't that big of a deal. So there is our camping adventure of 2010.

Who can tie their shoes?

Before Landon starts kindergarten in a couple of weeks we wanted to make sure that he can tie his own shoes. He does really well and is very proud of himself, as are we.

Nathan's favs

Nathan loves shoes. As soon I got him out of his crib this morning he saw his sandals sitting beside his dresser and had to put them on. He comes to me carrying them saying 'Shoe'. So after I changed his diaper I put them on for him, no time to bother with his pj pants... he needed his shoes. So as you can also tell in the pic, Nathan is walking. A few weeks ago he finally decided to let go of Mom or the couch and just go. I think it made both of us happy. Lets face it, he isn't the lightest baby to have to carry everywhere.

Brushing Teeth

Yep that's right Nathan loves to brush his teeth... he must have gotten that from his Aunt Melissa. He will stand right up on the stool and brush his teeth just like his brothers he even tries to rinse the brush off before depositing it in the little drawer beside him.

They're so smart

The other day Landon and Kyler that they were so awesome for thinking up a brand new game. Sliding down the stairs in a sleeping bag. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that game has been around for along time, but at least they're happy.

Friday Morning Entertainment

Every Friday morning this is how I find my boys. They are watching the garbage truck go around the neighbourhood.
