5 years and counting!

It's crazy how time flies. It's hard to believe it has already been FIVE years. It's seems like we've just always been together but at the same time a lot has actually taken place in the short amount of time. All that is left to say is that we are still as much in love as the day we met, and may the years ahead be just as great!

Let it Snow!

Well, we got plenty of snow in time for Christmas. Since we didn't go anywhere Christmas day we didn't bother to shovel any snow so we had a huge job this morning. The kids had a blast but got really red noses. Since I can't lift more then twenty pounds it was pretty much left to Jon. While he shoveled I cleared off the cars. Lets just say that due to the amount Jon only got his side of the drive way cleared before he had to leave for work.

Christmas Morning

Kyler loves trains. Santa brought him a Geo Tracks set.
The big family present this year was a set of bunk beds and Jon and his dad had the privilege to put together Christmas afternoon. The boys were so excited... especially Ky who has a 'big bed' now.

Grandma and Grandpa Humphries got the boys a big 'lighting McQueen' playhut. Which will make our boring basement a lot more fun.

Kyler's 'little people' doodle pad. (He loves 'little people' especially Eddie the blond boy)
All Landon asked Santa for this year was a yellow transformer.... Good thing Santa remembered.
Father and sons playing with Landon's Roman Soldier/Knights set.

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. We woke around 6 and read Luke 2 as a family in our bed before venturing to the living room to see what Santa and brought. We all had a great time with new games, clothes, and lots of toys.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we spent most of the day at Jon's parents house. Jon was helping tile the basement bathroom while I sat at a sewing machine frantically trying to finish the pjs for the boys to wear that night. After a day and a half of sewing the pjs were completed at about 6 pm Christmas Eve. After dinner at our house the boys modeled their new pjs and slippers. Grandpa Humphries was kind enough to read Twas the Night Before Christmas. Before the kids came to see in we had a visitor during the night we clicked this last picture.

Happy Birthday to Us!

Well, as most of you already know with our birthdays so close together we have decided to combine them together. So for our birthday my 3 guys (Jon, Landon, and Kyler) got me a box set of perfumes, lotions, and lip gloss. I'll be the best smelling mom/wife in Utah. For Jon is year we decided to get him a U of U hoodie. Yes he did transfer to Weber State but will always remain a loyal Ute. And of course as for any birthday we had a fun cake. I decided to make a 'present' and the kids loved it.

Temple Square

Krista and Morgan in front of the huge Christmas tree in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
The Temple with some lights.

Our little family in front of the shepherds. (sorry its not the best picture but it's the only one with us altogether)

A new nativity that is set in the center of the reflection pool.

Landon and I in front of a long sidewalk of Christmas lights.

After we left Temple Square we were cold and could all use a little refreshments. We stop at Denny's on our way home for some hot chocolate and dessert.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Guess who made a special appearance at our Ward Christmas Party? Santa Claus!! This was the first time that the boys have actually gone to see Santa so it was pretty exciting. Kyler promptly told Santa that he wants TOYS! (nothing specific just toys). Landon was a little hesitant at first but warmed up when Santa mentioned the one thing he really wants this year (a yellow transformer).

Tis the Season

Well, it is officially the Holiday season at our house. The boys had a lot of fun helping decorate the tree this year. It's kind of funny, everything looks so much smaller this year than in the past. I guess it's just because we actually have room in our house compared to the condo.

I is for Indians

At preschool Monday we were doing the letter I. So to go along with letter and the season the kids all made Indian costumes. Yes that is Landon sitting on Aunt Sarah's lap not wanting to be in the picture.

Happy Halloween!

This year,as is tradition, all of the Humphries kids that live around here meet at Michelle's house for dinner before all the grandkids and moms head out trick or treating. This year we had yummy homemade chili and scones. My boys are always very excited to see their cousins, so Halloween with cousins is perfect. My adorable cowboy and firefighter actually kept up with the other kids. If Kyler was falling behind he would ask Aunt Krista (the ladybug) to 'run me'. She would pick him up and run to catch up with the other kids. Having Aunt Krista their made it very easy for me this year. Jon had to work which is why I called in re-enforcements, best part is that Krista is the biggest kid of all. At dinner the grandkids were all trying to decide what she should dress up as next year. Well, hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween.
