Camping...rained out style

Jon was planning on taking the boys to the father/son camp out last night but the weather had something else in mind. So that Jon didn't have to break a promise and the boys could still go 'camping', Jon set up our smaller tent in the basement and the boys slept in it. Somehow Jon got out of having to sleep downstairs too.

Hair Cuts for the Boys

This Morning Nathan got his first hair cut. We cut all of the boys but I only took an after pic of Nathan. For being a wiggly little boy he did a pretty good job of sitting still while Jon took the clippers to his head.

I'm growing up to be a parent

Kyler has been proclaiming that when he grows up he will be a parent. And according to him as soon as he becomes a parent his hair will miraculously be spiky, and lately he has added that he will have spiky hair on his chin too. (Gee who does it sound like he's describing!?).

Nathan's 1st Birthday

Here is the birthday boy. He is such a smart little guy, he learned a new word on his birthday... CHEESE! How convinent, right. All I had to do was have the camera in front of him and he would say Cheese!

On Nathan's actual birthday I made him pancakes and even stuck a candle in them.... I didn't bother to light it this time.

Present Time

Nathan wasn't thrilled at the idea of having to sit still with Daddy... until he got to open the presents

Bubble Mower! Trying to figure out what to get Nathan was difficult because he is the 3rd boy and really do have most things for that age.

Pushing his mower. He doesn't even know that this will be a chore when he gets bigger.

Be Our Guest

Payten decided to take a little snooze while we ate.
Kid table! Nathan had 6 of his little cousins (and their parents of course) share in his special day.

Have my cake and Eat it too

Nathan liked the cake so much the spoon wasn't fast enough.

Blowing out the candle. If you look closely, you can see Landon holding Nathan's hand so he wouldn't grab the candle.

Here is my lion cake creation. Since Nathan was too little to make a decision on what kind of cake I decided to make a lion because he is always growling at his stuffed lion named Leon.
