Mowing the Lawn
Now that our sod as completely taken hold we are finally able to mow it. Jon was excited to try out his new lawn mower and Landon shared in the excitement. When they went to the backyard Jon decided to let Landon help push. Landon was thrilled to discover that when he gets bigger this 'job' will be passed down to him. We'll see how long that excitement last then.

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!
My parents have been in town this week to work on wedding plans for my little sis and it happened to be my Mom's b-day too. The boys were very excited to be able to have a little party for her. Landon and Kyler helped make a butterfly cake and we got Grandma a new purse. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed being able to celebrate with her.

Landon and Daddy's Project
A couple of weeks ago Jon's brother Jared was at the DI and found a couple of old bikes for Bryon and Landon. After diligently stripping it down we discovered that it had been painted twice before (originally yellow with stickers then painted black). Landon went to the store with Jon and picked out some metallic blue spray paint and some training wheels. We are proud to say that Landon's NEW bike is finally complete!! Landon rode it around the neighborhood on our afternoon walk and was very proud of himself.

We Have A Yard!!!!
After living in our house for 7 months now we finally have a yard. For the past almost 2 months Jon has been working very hard to get our yard in, which included.... digging and laying the sprinkler system, laying sod, building planter areas, putting together a swing set, shoveling bark under the swing set, and much more. After waiting the typical 2 weeks after the sod was laid we are finally able to enjoy having grass rather than just tons of dirt. There is still lots to do and will always have plenty to do in the yard but for now we are just happy to say that we have an actual yard.
