House in Progress

We go by our new house every couple of days and wanted to show everyone the progress we're making. We are now mostly framed. The cement basement is finished and our window wells are in place. We have walls and a ceiling now. The top pic is Jon and the boys in the garage. The bottom shows the boys looking out thier bedroom window.

The Rodeo

Monday evening the Felts all went to the Ogden Rodeo just like when my mom was a little girl. Landon was very excited to get to come along. He loved staying up late, watching all the cows and horse and of course getting his own snow cone. We decided to leave Kyler home this year for 2 year old reasons. We got to see the bucking bronco, steer wrestling, barrel racing and more. They closed the show with three stunt motorcyclist... it is hard to see but in the top picture he is in the air, holding the seat with his hands and his feet in the air.

Felt Reunion

A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to go to the Leon Felt Reunion. It was great to see family that I haven't seen in years. On Saturday we all gathered at the Huntsville Park which is near were the Felts lived. We had ancestors names that were on a monument there at the park. There was plenty of the kids to do too. Besides the big toy area we has a bounce house (which Ky is jumping in) and they even made bottle rockets and yes we lauched all of them with an air compresser. Jon helped Landon make his and was very proud of himself.

Kyler's 2nd Birthday

Kyler's big present for his birthday from Jon and I as well as Jon's parents was a red wagon. Landon and Bryon also got to share in the excitement of the wagon. We have already gone around the neighborhood 3 times and it hasn't even been 24 hrs yet. It's hard to believe that my baby boy is now 2 years old... where has the time gone.

Landon's trip

On the evening of July 3rd Grandma and Grandpa Humphries took Landon up Ogden Canyon to go camping with them for a night. They stayed up until 11 o'clock playing yahtzee and then slept in until after 8 (which is very rare for Landon). He had the best time just being spoiled by his grandparents and not having to fit for their attention. Jon and I took Ky up late afternoon on the 4th and had foil dinner and s'mores before we headed back down the mountain with both kids. Oh, yeah just in case you are wondering that is not dirt on Landon's face... it's oreo cookies.

The Dig

On June 26th Ivory Homes started to dig our hole for the house. We took the kids to watch the big trucks out scooping the dirt away. After dinner we returned to see the progress. Jon took Landon down into our hole. It is the shape of our basement. We will be sure to keep everyone tuned in through out the building process.

Playing Games

Posted by Picasa

Landon enjoyed showing Kyler how to play his Deigo Matching Game. After trying to be patient he decided to do what ever he wanted. They also had fun playing/ make a mess with Connect 4. They try really hard to be able to play just like the big kids and in time they will be right along with them; Until then they enjoy making their own rules to their games.

Teeter-Toter

While camping last week we realized after taking this one picture that we forgot to charge the batteries in our camera after returning from Disney World. So here is the one picture of our first camping trip of the year. The boys used a piece of wood that they found to make a teeter-toter. The trip ended up being very eventful with a hike that I guess ended up being to long for the kids. Kyler fell asleep while sitting on Jon's shoulders and Landon ended up getting carried half of the hike back. We also got to listen to a bunch of raccoons fighting right outside our tent and could hear/see them circling our tent. It was pretty freaky if you ask me.

Walt Disney World Vacation

After a long airplane ride the boys were so excited to get out and play with their cousins. The look on the kids faces were great as they saw the Castle and all of the characters. The only ride that Landon really knew was the Dumbo but by the end loved the Peter Pan the best. We enjoyed racing on the Indy speedway, spinning in Teacups, riding Goofy's roller coaster and much more. We road in a huge jeep on a Safari in Animal Kingdom and came pretty close to a bunch of animals.
The resort we stayed at was the Polynesian so everything was set up with tikis and we had a Hawaiian Luau with the full show. We were right on the water across from Magic Kingdom. We watched the fireworks over the castle from our beach right outside our rooms. The kids enjoyed all of the many ways of transportation that we got to experience... Monarail, Ferryboat, Smaller Boat, buses, and of course airplane.
Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, Jon and I got to experience some of the more adult rides and attractions. Including, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Rock-N-Roller Coaster, and more.

Mickey here we come

The boys have been so excited to go to Disney World. We made a chain of how many days until we leave so that they aren't constintly asking 'are we going today?'. The other day in the mail they received cards from Grandma and Grandpa with Mickey Mouse on them. They have been carrying them around and even started to play mail man just so they could play with the cards.

Boxes

Who needs toys when you can have a nice brown box. Landon and Kyler have spent a lot of time the past couple of days playing in these boxes. In this picture they each have a 'house' and they are using the toy workbench from their room to be their TV, and of course Landon is on his cell phone to Daddy.

Cast is gone

After five weeks Kyler is finally cast free. He is still limping a little but that is normal for a few days(so they say). On his finally x-rays the technition let Landon go behind the little wall and push the button to actually take the picture. I think the best part for Kyler was when he could take a bath like a normal person instead of having to wear a special cast cover. Needless to say we just excited that it is all done with and Kyler is doing well.

Buddies

Landon and Kyler are enjoying the company of their cousin Bryon and neighbor Ashton. After pulling everything out of the boys room they decided to watch a cartoon instead.
