We Have A Yard!!!!
After living in our house for 7 months now we finally have a yard. For the past almost 2 months Jon has been working very hard to get our yard in, which included.... digging and laying the sprinkler system, laying sod, building planter areas, putting together a swing set, shoveling bark under the swing set, and much more. After waiting the typical 2 weeks after the sod was laid we are finally able to enjoy having grass rather than just tons of dirt. There is still lots to do and will always have plenty to do in the yard but for now we are just happy to say that we have an actual yard.

Band-Aids
Isn't it funny that no matter how small a scratch or cut is, a band-aid always makes it feel better. This morning Kyler had a little cut of his hand and desperately needed a transformer band-aid. I was watching his through out the day and realized that he wasn't even using that hand. During his nap he had his hand held out to the side and during dinner he ate with his left hand so not to mess up the band-aid. Now we'll see if he even remembers it when he wakes-up tomorrow.

Coloring Easter Eggs
On Saturday evening we got to dye the eggs. The boys thought it was very cool to be able to watch the eggs change color and ever more so that Dad (Jon) could do more than one color on an egg.

Graduation
I am proud to announce that Kyler has officially graduated from diapers, to potty training underwear, to Big Boy underwear. It looks like we'll get a little break from changing diapers until the baby gets here.

Yard Work
Along with a new house comes yard work. For the past few weeks we have been working in yard. Before we can put in grass we have to put in the sprinkler system. We have the trenches all dug and the pipes are all laid. Now if the weather will cooperate we can finish up and get ready to lay all the sod. The top pic is Jon laying the pipes and the other is Jon and Sarah having to dig under the sidewalk to run the pipes underneath. If you were wondering yes Jon is standing in a hole that he hand dug to connect the sprinklers to the water main.
Getting Bigger

I went to get something from my room and when I came out the boys and Dash had pulled the curtain down off the sliding door. They blamed each other and the dog so they all went to time out. I told the boys to sit and Dash went and sat in time out too.

Dash's favorite place to be during meal time is under the table sitting right in front of Kyler. (since he is the most likely to spill)
During nap time Dash brought his blanket out and laid down in front of the couch where Landon was having quiet time. It is so nice when both boys nap at the same time and a triple bonus when Dash sleeps too.

One Year Later...
Well, those of you who don't remember March 17, 2008 was when our lives got turned upside-down. Within a few hours three very drastic things happened to us. Jon had about 3 inches of his collar bone removed, I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks, and little Kyler broke his leg. I am glad to report that this St. Patrick's Day has come and gone with no glitches. So just to update on the three issues of a year ago, Jon's collar bone is doing better. He will never be 100% but is doing well, and he will never be able to competitively swim again. I am doing just fine now.... I am due with a baby boy and have 10 weeks left of my pregnancy. As for Kyler, nothing has slowed him down. You would never know except for two very little scars on his ankle... even those you wouldn't notice if you weren't his mom.

Road Trip

This past weekend we spent a couple of days in Heber with some friends at their cabin. We had a blast. I was the first trip we've taken Dash on and he did really well. He loved being able to play in snow again. Saturday morning we took the boys sledding. Since once again I couldn't sled I took all the pictures. Jon, Dallas (Jon's best friend), Landon and Kyler had lots of fun playing in the snow. Next year Dallas' little boy will be big enough to join in the fun.

Boys will be Boys
Thursday Morning I thought I'd be safe to take a quick shower with out Jon being there to keep an eye on the boys. Oh, was I wrong! I put Dash in his room so that part of trouble making was out of the way. I put a cartoon on for the Landon and Kyler and quickly hopped in the shower. When I came out this is what I found. Two boys (with no pajamas on any more, just their underwear and undershirts) Two couches completely empty and lots of couch pillows all over the room. According to Landon they made the ultimate hop-scotch.

Happy Valentine's Day
We want to wish everyone a happy Valentine's Day! We had a lot of fun celebrating this year. I made some special heart pancakes for breakfast. The boys thought it was very cool. We then had a little scavenger hunt for the boys to do. The clues took them around the house and ended with little gifts for the boys. Landon got a preschool CD-ROM set, which he has already enjoyed playing and Kyler got a book with the matching stuffed animal. We even did something for Dash, he got a new squeak toy. Jon and I received at nice dinner with NO KIDS! It is fabulous to be able to go to a restaurant occasionally that doesn't serve chicken nuggets and fries and have a play area.

Heat Wave
To some it might not seem like a heat wave but in Utah when it goes above 40 degrees its considered warm. Since there isn't any snow on the driveway and street the boys could finally ride there bikes and scooters a little bit. While I did my motherly duties of taking pictures of my cute boys Jon got to take Dash around on his leash. Dash is still getting used to the leash but it doing pretty good. His favorite thing is to chase Landon on his scooter. It won't take long before the boys have Dash pulling their scooters, bike, or wagon.
